What is Reflexology Massage?

Reflexology involves applying pressure to specific points on the hands and feet, which are believed to correspond to various organs and systems in the body. By targeting these points, reflexology promotes relief from pain, alleviates dysfunction, and encourages relaxation.

Sessions can last 60 minutes, be a 30-minute add-on to a regular massage, or be integrated into your standard Swedish or Deep Tissue massage.

Historically, various cultures, including the Chinese, Japanese, Indians, and Egyptians, practiced techniques on the feet and hands to enhance health. Reflexology evolved into zone therapy, which maps out specific zones throughout the body and feet. Each zone is linked to different organs and bodily structures, and it has been found that working on these points can positively influence corresponding areas elsewhere in the body. Charts detailing these points are available worldwide.

Our trained, licensed massage therapists utilize these charts to identify points on the hands and feet, focusing their efforts on areas where clients seek improvement. Points are addressed with either stimulating or sedating pressure, depending on individual needs.

You will be fully and modestly draped with a sheet or blanket during your massage. The therapist will only uncover the areas being treated, re-draping and tucking for your comfort. Clients can request that specific areas not be massaged.
